Maryland's Premier Gun Club
Established in 1928 by a devoted group of local gun enthusiasts, the Cresap Rifle Club is a non-profit NRA-affiliated gun organization located in Frederick, MD. They serve as a safe and fun shooting environment and training facility.

The Cresap Rifle Club sponsors a Jr. Rifle Team for kids 10-18 years old. Their goal is to develop young shooters into expert marksmen while cultivating an appreciation and respect for the shooting sport. NRA-trained coaches supervise weekly practices, matches and events. The Cresap Rifle Club shooting range is open to the public on weekends. The outdoor range features handgun, rifle and black powder firing lanes, as well as cease fire and target changes. Enjoy a day of shooting at the scenic Elk Neck State Forest. Elk Neck State Forest consists of over 3,500 acres perfect for hunting, hiking horseback riding, mountain biking or just enjoying the great outdoors in beautiful Maryland.

The shooting range at Elk Neck State Forest is open 9:00 a.m. to sunset Tuesday through Sunday. Mondays open at 1pm and will close at sunset. Ranges are open on all holidays including Mondays from 9 AM until sunset. Yearly and daily permits are available for purchase at the forest office. There are four ranges at Elk Neck State Forest: a 100-yard rifle/muzzleloader range, a 50-yard pistol range, a skeet range and an archery range. Please be advised that you will need to provide your own firearms and ammunition.

The Hap Baker Firearms Facility is a public shooting range sponsored by the Recreation & Parks Department of Carroll County, MD. This shooting range has been designed and built to meet National Rifle Association range specifications.

Their goal for this facility is to provide firearms enthusiasts with a safe environment for practicing their sporting activities. Additionally, police units routinely use this facility for conducting certification, training and practice operations.
